Courses for INSET dates

We cover everything from Primary up-skilling in Spanish, through to Secondary whole school CPD. These are training modules which can be delivered in your school, with workshops starting at £250 per day. We can tailor any package to suit specific needs.

Years 10 & 11 pupils – French GCSE speaking revision for all GCSE pupils

This is an opportunity for pupils who are taking a French GCSE to practice their speaking skills using a range of fun and innovative activities.  There will be native speakers to help with pronunciation and fluency and the low adult to student ratio ensures students learn as much French as possible in a short period of time.
 
This day is focused solely on preparation for the controlled speaking assessment exam and will cover all the main exam boards' criteria. 
 
Criteria for identifying participants
  • Pupils should be undertaking KS4 study and wish to improve their spontaneous speaking skills.
Trainers
 
Philip Campagna is the course leader on Bath Spa University’s Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Modern Foreign Languages as well as working with Routes into Languages which promotes languages to school children. He is a qualified rugby referee and was a teacher of modern languages at a Bath Secondary school.
 
Philip will be helped by a number of native speakers and MFL PGCE students.
 
What you will achieve:
 
Extended knowledge of French and new confidence in speaking the language.
 
Additional information:
  • No mobile phones or valuables please.
  • Please bring your own lunch.  Other refreshments provided.
  • School uniform is not required.
